  • JoAnn Browne,
    Nurse Practitioner/Owner

JoAnn has been a nurse practitioner since 2012 with a history of critical care, emergency room, and pediatric nursing for nearly 20 years prior. She started her medical career as a combat medic in the USAF and then returned home to work her way through nursing school as an EMT/Medical assistant. She spent most of her time in critical and emergency room settings to be exposed to a wide variety of ages, health conditions, and people. While raising a family of 9 children with her husband and working in Interventional Radiology she taught future nurses at Carroll University. Although she loved the challenge, she realized what was missing - “I didn’t feel like I was really making a difference. I wanted to know that the people I met were actually getting the care they needed after they left me.” She found a need for primary care outside the office and a need for a provider who is prepared to care for the entire person, to include mind-body-spirit, and could not do this in a corporate healthcare setting. “I decided to open my own practice so that I could provide care as I see fit for the people who want a different type of healthcare provider and for those who have difficulty accessing one because of their limitations”.

She started Village Primary Care Providers in 2018 and hasn’t turned back. At the onset of the pandemic, JoAnn prepared herself and her team to continue to provide care to her patients and anyone else who needed it. “It just didn’t make sense to refuse to see sick people. Isn’t that why we are here?” She never closed her doors and went to people’s homes, cars, and facilities or performed telehealth visits when they needed care and were quarantined. She is proud to be a leader in COVID 19 out-patient care in our area and continues to remain up to date to lead the Village back to a healthier state by treating the ill, managing symptoms, and caring for the whole person.

JoAnn’s personal joys are spending time with any or all of her kids and their new families and activities, traveling with her best friend/husband, singing, spending time outdoors in the warm weather, and hanging out with her dogs, Norman and Jojo. JoAnn’s passion is to help everyone get the healthcare experience that they deserve and motivate them to achieve improved health and a sense of wellness in order to build a stronger and healthier community.

  • Laura
Revenue Cycle Manager | Certified Coder | Credentialing

Laura began her medical experience in an OBGYN's office as a receptionist and quickly moved up to the billing department, where she was lucky to train under her mentor, who was an expert in the field and inspired Laura to continue perusing her passion in the industry. Carter has a vast knowledge of many medical specialties, billing, coding, and credentialing, totaling nearly 30 years. She continued her education and pursued a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration specializing in Health Services Management from DeVry University.  With the desire to further her education she pursued her National Medical Coding Certifications through the American Health Information Management Association. Carter frequently attends billing and coding trainings to keep up to date on the latest updates and offer our patients the most competitive services and pricing. Laura loves to stay in the know about new billing and coding updates. She is the proud fur-momma of three Shih Tzus, Max, Dorie, and Addie. When Laura is not working, she loves to spend time with her family and garden.

  • Elizabeth
    Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner Reid received her Bachelor of Science in Genetics, Cell Biology and Development in May of 2017 from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Practitioner Reid continued her education just a couple months later by beginning her Master Entry to Nursing Practice at DePaul University and graduated with honors in August of 2019.

Practitioner Reid initially began her nursing career at Froedtert Hospital on the neurosciences inpatient floor, where she honed her skills and became passionate in providing holistic, patient focused healthcare. While working, I attended Alverno College to obtain my Post-Masters Family Nurse Practitioner certification, which was completed in May of 2022.  Through Alverno, I was introduced to the Village and fell in love. As a family nurse practitioner here, I strive to bring empathy, easygoing communication and a sense of humor to patients so we can create personalized, feasible treatment plans to get them the healthcare they deserve. Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time outside with my family and reading.

What Our Clients Say About Us

  • "I was referred to Village PCP after unexpectedly losing my current visiting provider. At first, I was petrified at the thought of losing my current provider. It ended up being the best thing that has happened to my healthcare in 20 years. I have never experienced the level of organization, compassion, and professionalism like I have now with my new Village Provider. At the old place, they changed my provider every couple of weeks without notice. I never knew when my provider was coming and always left feeling like we I wasn't heard. Practitioner Reid is my Village provider, and she is just an absolute blessing. She has done more for me than the last 10 Drs combined. She actually listens and doesn't just throw drugs at me. I highly recommend their services!! They might be the best kept secret in town."
    Carole (07/03/2023)
  • "I have never in all my years have been so very happy with my health care. Each one of the staff treats you like you matter, your ailments matter, and they will go to the extreme to help you with it. They actually listen and don’t treat you like a number or push you out the door when you are done. They also don’t treat you like you’re stupid or belittle you for the questions you ask. They work with you!! They never have had their own agenda and try to push it on you. I really don’t feel 5 stars are enough, they are all priceless to me with every experience I have with them. I will never trust anyone but Village Primary to take care of me. They honestly care and it shows!!"
    Cheryl K. (09/29/2023)
  • "Village Primary Care Providers is the epitome of excellence in top-notch medical care and customer service! Meredith was the first person we talked to out of nine clinics in the area who was willing and able to assist us with evaluating and COVID testing our large family during a time of illness while we were traveling. Laura was extremely professional and proficient at working with the insurance company and went above and beyond to ensure we completed the necessary authorizations; she was readily available and thorough with her follow-up. JoAnn Browne took the time for a virtual visit and created a patient-centered plan of care. Alyssa and Meredith created a positive presence, greeting us with smiles every time we had to come to the clinic. We also know that the entire team played an integral role in coordinating, collecting, and running the COVID tests on multiple occasions. Each member was efficient, competent, and kind. Thank you to Liz, Jada, Tressa, and Jessica!!"
    Kate B. (09/10/2022)
